The story of Smoove Radio begins with Derek Lewis—a lifelong music lover, seasoned DJ, and passionate advocate for community engagement. Under the moniker DJ Smoove, Derek spent years spinning tracks at local events, always noticing the unifying power of a great playlist. In 2021, amidst a world that felt increasingly divided, Derek saw an opportunity to create a station that would be more than just background noise. He envisioned a space where music could cross boundaries, spark dialogue, and offer comfort in challenging times.
